General Requirements
Age: Must be at least 18 years old (21 if driving interstate).
Medical: A DOT Medical Card is required.
Tests: Pass the written knowledge test and the CDL skills test an air brake end.
In Washington State , the minimum required training for both a Class B and C is 80 total Hours
The 80 hours of training breaks down like this:
Classroom Instruction is 40 hours
Street Driving is 14 hours
Backing Maneuvers 8 Hours
Proficiency Development 8 hours
Combined Lab, Range, and Observation 10 hours
SCHOOL BUS + PASSENGER Requirements
A valid WA state drivers license, Class A or B , School Bus, Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement
A CDL medical Card
A minimum of 30 hours of training which includes 20 hours of classroom and 10 hours of proficiency development For Passenger 14 hours of training are required (4 hours classroom, 10 hours) proficiency
to receive both Passenger and school Bus you need 30 hours (20 classroom and 10 Proficiency hours)
